September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month and in recognition of the importance of raising awareness ACE Ticket, through our ACE Embrace program, donated concert tickets to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). On Saturday September 8th two lovely ladies attended the Niall James Horan concert at The Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA. Amanda Castle (pictured left) participated in LLS Students of the Year which is a leadership development and philanthropy program for highly motivated high school students. Individual students and the teams they form participate in a fundraising competition to benefit LLS. The 2017 Student of the Year teams (8 total) raised about $60k, with Amanda’s raising $11,578!
The mission of LLS is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and theirfamilies. The three pillars of LLS mission is research, patient support and policy & advocacy. LLS has invested more than $1.2 billion in cutting-edge research, provides free information, support services and financial assistance to over 30,000 people in 2017. Amanda is just one of more than 100,000 volunteers in LLS network working towards saving lives.
Amanda and her guest had a great time and love the new music of Niall Horan who is on hiatus from the English-Irish pop boy band One Direction. Horan’s recent singles, “Our Town” and the funk-laden “Slow Hands”are rising up the charts. Niall Horan is joined by Maren Larae Morris, an American country music singer and songwriter, on his 2018 Flicker World Tour.
